Calon Teifi is one of the Transition Initiatives, working together to look Peak Oil and Climate Change squarely in the eye and address this BIG question:
"for all those aspects of life that this community needs in order to sustain itself and thrive, how do we significantly increase resilience (to mitigate the effects of Peak Oil) and drastically reduce carbon emissions (to mitigate the effects of Climate Change)?"
How do we change the world? Think global, act local.
Where are we? The heart of the Teifi valley: Newcastle Emlyn, Drefach Felindre, Llandysul and the countryside around.
Where do we start? Well by thinking about all the things we need to change: Food, Energy, Transport...
Then we get together in "Theme Groups" to tackle each of these areas (see the Constitution).
We can do it if we think and act together.
